There are different ways in which the use of these media for communication have impacted on the modern society.

As a Nigerian, what are the improvements attributable to social media as per community development and what are the negative consequences?

CIVIL DEFENCE PARTNERS MAN O' WAR, TRAINS ITS OFFICERS

Officers of the State Command have been implored to put the training they have had into practice.
This was the words of advice given to participants at a Four&days training programme organised by the Oyo state Man O' War Training Department in conjunction with the Oyo State Command of the Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).


The course participants were exposed to various training events such as Beat Management, Surveillance and Intelligence Gathering, Stress Management, Public Relations, Physical Training Exercises and Drills.

The State Commandant of the NSCDC, Dr. John A. Oyedokun, who also delivered lectures during the programme commended the acting State Commander, Dep. Cmdr. (Alh.) Yekeen Lukman and his management team for a job well done.

Oyo State Man O' War Commiserates with Youth Council

Man O' War Nigeria, Oyo State Command extends its heartfelt sympathy with National Youth Council of Nigeria(NYCN) on the demise of its former Secretary in Oyo State, Comrade Yomi Alabi.
It is our prayer that God give the family he left behind the strength to bear the sudden loss.
May God be with  NYCN Oyo state and the entire country.

Community Development Service, Oyo State Man O' War at BCOS, Ibadan


In line with the core values Man O' War Nigeria, in not only building the man but also building the community, the Acting State Commander, Deputy Commander Yekeen Lukman led other State Executives, Senior officers and other members of the organisation in the state to the premises of the Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State (BCOS) at Orita-Basorun in Ibadan on Saturday, 8th September 2018 to carry out an environmental Community Development Service (CDS).




While being interviewed by newsmen at the event, Lukman made it known that contributing to the development of a clean environment is another way of implementing one of the most important objectives of the Man O' War organisation as laid out in its Code of Conduct; Selfless Service to the host community.

He also made it known that similar activities are being carried out at other parts of the state and that more of such activities are already in the pipeline.

Lukman: "Cultivate the Spirit of Tolerance During and After Ileya Festival"

Muslim faithfuls have been enjoined to use the Ileya festival as a period to renew their faith and cultivate the spirit of togetherliness.
This was part of the season greetings message made available from the office of the Acting State Commander,  Deputy Commander (Alh.) Yekeen Lukman.
He congratulated all Muslims in Oyo state for witnessing the Eid el-Kabir festival for 2018 and prayed that Almighty Allah give us more time to live on earth.

"This is an avenue to advice the youth of the state that we should learn lessons from the purpose of Ileya;
1. Any promise we made should be fulfilled
2. We should tolerate each other no matter the religion
3. We should all live in peace.
4. All youths must always think of one Nigeria".
He revealed that Man O' War officers have been deployed to all local government areas in the state to make sure there is free flow of vehicles and also  provide crowd control services at all various prayer grounds in the state. We wish all an happy Eid el-Kabir.

Man O' War Congratulates National Youth Council of Nigeria

The Acting State Commander, Alhaji Yekeen Lukman Olanrewaju wishes to congratulate all Youth Organisations in Oyo State and most especially the Youth Chairman in the state, Mrs Adebobola Agbeja and her execitives, for the success of the just concluded Youth Week Anniversary. May almighty Allah be with you all.

He said: "I want to advice all Youth Organisations in the state to be law abiding and maintain the highest level of discipline and to not allow politicians to use us to disrupt our dear state or anything that can tarnish our image individually and as an organisation".
